I think one of the reasons that I came to Ham radio was the means to communicate with someone on the far side of the planet. I was in my 20’s when I first got my license (in 2010). I was always fascinated with travel and exploring the world. I grew up in a small religious town, and took the first chance I could get out of there. I joined the Army, but took a honorable discharge soon after. Since leaving that town I have not only been, but lived so many places, and have met so many good people. I’ve never had to look too hard to find a friend, and have met some life long friends in the process. I must admit when it’s time to hang up the hat though, and have settled in Colorado.
